Blechexpo 2017 review – enthusiastic interest
Tremendous success at Blechexpo 2017 – national and international visitors flock to the STEINEL booth
News release

The biannual appearance of STEINEL and its complete range of products and services at Southern Germany's largest trade fair for sheet metal processing is a mainstay in the STEINEL trade fair calendar. This year, STEINEL was represented for the 13th time at this important meeting point for the industry.

At the booth in Hall 7, visitors could experience the high quality and innovativeness of STEINEL products for themselves. On a space of 120 m2, they obtained information on the wide range of punching and bending technology solutions. Selected product highlights were explained with the use of vivid 3D animations. Curious experts could learn about important details via interactive touchscreens. A focal point for many visitors was once again the exchange with STEINEL experts. The highly qualified team that staffed the booth was able to respond to many questions and requests.

The STEINEL booth once again impressed with its open, bright architecture. As a result, compared to the trade fair two years ago, STEINEL saw an increase of approximately 30 per cent in the number of visitors it welcomed and advised at its booth. The increasing internationalisation was also quite noticeable – one in four booth visitors came from another country. Christian Pape, division manager for Sales and Marketing, offered a very positive assessment: "This year's Blechexpo exceeded our high expectations in every way. The quality of visitors was outstanding, we were able to have many expert discussions on a very high level and reinforced STEINEL's punching technology expertise. Our presentation worked perfectly and I am particularly proud of our STEINEL team for its outstanding work preparing for the event as well as during the four trade fair days".

STEINEL's wide range of high-quality standard parts for high-end tool shops once again attracted many experts to the STEINEL booth this year. When top precision and lifetimes matter, there is simply no alternative to STEINEL. The new modular systems, the miniaturised high-speed manifold plates as well as the guide bushes with adhesive grooves made their first appearance at this year's trade fair. In addition, visitors were very interested in system components, such as the tool-specific nitrogen systems, customer-specific guides and tapping systems. Managing Director Christoph Neudörffer views this as an affirmation of the strategy the company has pursued in recent years: "The trade fair has proven once again that our strategic alignment toward becoming a system partner for punching technology is well received. There is tremendous interest in custom solutions for modular and nitrogen systems, roll taps and guide units, and the individual, customer-specific products are an excellent complement to our standard offer".

In 2017, Blechexpo occupied all of the halls of the Landesmesse Stuttgart for the very first time, thereby achieving a major milestone. According to the organisers, the products and services offered by a total of 1,336 exhibitors attracted a lot of attention among the more than 39,000 visitors from 116 countries. The international character of the offers from Europe and Asia also increased noticeably once again this year. With a total of 105,000 m2, the gross exhibition space increased by an impressive 15% compared to 2015.
