Tool systems from STEINEL impress at the 25th EuroBLECH
From 23 to 26 October, decision-makers from the sheet metal processing industry met up for the 25th time in Hanover. We were also in attendance at the EuroBLECH 2018 trade fair at our own stand.

This year, process safety and cost-effectiveness were the chief topics at this leading trade fair. It should therefore come as no surprise that our two tapping units and our modular tool system met with great interest.

The absolute highlight at this year's trade fair stand was provided by our two tapping units, the S-Former Z and the S-Former E. Roughly one third of visitors to our stand asked for information about these smart solutions, which enable ultra-high-quality threads to be cut directly in the punching and bending process. As a purely mechanical solution, the S-Former Z operates fully synchronously with the tool right across the press stroke, requiring no electrical installation. The electrically powered S-Former E is driven by its own AC Servodrive, and is monitored continuously by a PLC control unit, making it ideally suited to the defect-free production of safety-relevant parts.

As an intelligent module, our standardised modular system is unbeatably economical and enables ‘flying’ tool changes to be performed within 20 minutes – ideal for production runs involving a large variety of parts and small quantities.

“We are proud that our products met with such a high level of interest at this, the world’s largest trade fair in the sheet metal processing sector”, stated Christian Pape, Sales & Marketing Director at STEINEL. “The feedback received from this sector demonstrates that our systems provide appropriate answers to topical questions, and meet the need for flexible, safe and cost-effective solutions”.

In total, over the four days of this trade fair, around 56,000 trade visitors found their way to Hanover. As a result, our on-location staff had their hands full at all times manning the trade fair stand. We were able to make no fewer than 160 new contacts, with around one third coming from other European countries and from countries outside Europe. In 2020, EuroBLECH will once again be a definite fixture in the STEINEL trade fair calendar.
